General Weather

San Francisco sits at a different elevation than the majority of heavily populated California cities. The San Francisco bay gives off a great breeze that keeps the city cool all year round, even in the summer months. San Francisco is a great place to visit because it’s never too hot and never too cold.

Best Months to Visit

To take advantage of slightly warmer weather and to avoid the rainy season, we recommended booking your trip for any time between late June and October. April through early June can be quite foggy, but the weather is still comfortable and exploring the city is still just as fun.

Where to Stay

For a cool stay in Japantown, book a room at Hotel Kabuki. The décor is bright, modern and airy right in downtown San Francisco, so you’ll feel relaxed and energized for every day you spend in the city! Experience the San Francisco waterfront by wandering through Fisherman’s Wharf! The Wharf is the home of San Francisco’s fishing community and has been for years. One of the most visited tourist areas in the city, the Wharf is a long stretch of shops, piers and sightseeing open to all. It encompasses the northern waterfront area near the Embarcado station all the way to Ghirardelli Square – this is a great way to get some steps in and see the sites!
