The fine arts museum features an impressive collection of sculptures and paintings from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. The Muséum de Toulouse is a museum of natural history. It boasts a collection of more than 2.5 million items, so spare a few hours.

Pont Neuf is one of the prettiest bridges in Toulouse. The 16th-century stone bridge with arches that span the Garonne River looks beautiful lit up at night. Pont Saint Pierre and Pont Saint-Michel are also stunning bridges and it is nice to walk along the waterfront. From the water, the Notre-Dame de la Daurade and the Chapelle Saint-Joseph de la Grave both look lovely, so don’t forget your camera for those Instagram moments. 

Fromagerie Xavier is a specialty cheese shop with a huge selection of French cheeses. With a 30-year history spanning more than 30 years, this delicious stop has won many awards. All your favourite cheese flavours are there, along with many new ones. 

Space, flight or aviation enthusiasts will realize Toulouse is a major European aerospace centre. La Cite de l’Espace is a scientific discovery centre dedicated to the study of spaceflight and makes an interesting place to visit.  

Spend some time exploring the creative graffiti art on many walls around the city of Toulouse. A fine example is Rue Saint-Ursula depicts a 1950s poster by Mademoiselle Kat. She was a pioneer of graffiti in Toulouse and her pin-ups have been featured on city walls since the 90s. Street art can be seen all over the city, and a guided tour can give you plenty of insight into each creation.

The dining in the city is fantastic, from little cafes serving handmade pastries to fine dining restaurants where you can find some of the best chefs in France cooking up a storm.
