Don’t stress the planning and avoid vacation debt by using the easy flight search feature on our website. To give you more insight, we’ve listed some of the airports you may be flying in and out of and some more flight booking tips below.

Tip #1: Double Check the Airport Code

Look for the following codes when choosing your takeoff destination.

  • All Toronto Airports (YTO)

YTO is the code that represents all Toronto airports. You can search using this code to access an exhaustive list of the flights leaving Toronto to Cuba.

  • Lester B. Pearson International Airport (YYZ)

YYZ is the code to represent the primary international airport located in Ontario in the metropolitan area.

  • Billy Bishop Toronto City Centre Airport (YTZ)

YTZ is the code to represent the international airport located on the Toronto Islands in Ontario.

Look for the following codes when choosing your touchdown destination.

  • José Martí International Airport (HAV)

HAV is the code to represent the international airport located in Havana. This is a very common airport for travellers to fly into. It generally has the most affordable flights.

  • Ignacio Agramonte International (CMW)

CMW is the code to represent the international airport located in Camaguey. This area is convenient to stay in for access to the whole island. You’ll be equally distant to both Havana and Santiago de Cuba.

  • Juan Gualberto Gómez International Airport (VRA)

CRA is the code to represent the international airport located in Varadero.

  • Frank País Airport (HOG)

HOG is the code to represent the international airport located in Holguin.

  • Abel Santamaría Airport (SNU)

SNU is the code to represent the international airport located in Santa Clara.

Trip Support’s flight search makes it easy for you to choose your trip type (one-way, round-trip, or multi-city), trip dates, preferred airports, and number of tickets needed. All-inclusive vacations can also be skimmed using the “Vacations” tab

Tip #2: Book Ahead of Time

Booking your flight six weeks to four months in advance is highly recommended to get the best deal. Fares are higher the closer the booking date is. This also allows you to plan out your vacation ahead of time. With Trip Support, booking ahead allows you to have more time to pay off your vacation. Your financial worries shouldn’t be one of your carry-ons.

Busy months of vacation to Cuba are November, December, and January. September is generally the cheapest month to visit. Tourism companies pay attention to these high and low demand times and prices will reflect that. September may have higher temperatures, but if the locals can do it, so can you! Grab a portable fan and roam the Cuban streets to find local foods and street dancers.

Tip #3: If You Plan on it, Book a Rental Car at the Same Time

Some of the hotels offer transportation to and from the airport. Public transportation is often close by as well. The Vizaul bus system is inexpensive and reaches most of the city exploration on the island. However, many visitors like to rent a car to have the freedom to explore the island on their own time. Most of the hotels offer free parking for those renting.

Havana Flight

If you plan on renting a car, we suggest booking ahead of time. Just like airline tickets, things fill up and get more expensive over time. CubaCar and Renta Linea are popular car agencies to check out, but be sure to do an exhaustive search to ensure you’re getting the best deal and a car will be available for your selected dates.

Tip #4: Save Ahead of Time

This is a no-brainer, but it’s also one worth mentioning. Our wallets don’t feel as great paying off a vacation after we’ve already taken it. Saving money ahead of time and paying off your flight and hotel stay through Trip Support’s Book Now Pay Later program will help you take a worry-free vacation.

Saving for the other necessities such as food and attractions is also smart. Putting a percentage of your income away each month leading up to the vacation is a trusted way to do this. You can even start with just 1%. Making food and coffee at home is also a great idea. Why not save for the local, exotic foods you’ll be trying in Cuba? Take another look at subscriptions you pay for (streaming services, food delivery, etc.) Are they all still worth it? If not, cancel a few for the time being and save for an even better vacation. If you have a good credit score, you can also look into opening a new credit card with a cash back bonus. Use this credit card to pay for expenses you already have such as groceries, gas, cleaning supplies, etc.

Tip #5: Book Now Pay Later with Trip Support

The easiest and fastest way to book your trip is with our Book Now Pay Later program. With a small initial down payment, you can secure your spot and begin making monthly payments to pay off your flight (or all-inclusive vacation) ahead of time. Our installment plans will let you know exactly how much you’ll need to pay each month to board your flight for a vacation fully paid for. Don’t find yourself struggling to pay for a vacation you couldn’t afford.
