Aruba, also known as ‘One Happy Island,’ is located in the Netherlands Antilles and is home to pristine white sandy beaches, gin-clear waters, colorful fishes, and some breathtaking picturesque views. It is much more than a Caribbean paradise with year-round perfect welcoming weather, making it one of the most famous Caribbean getaways among tourists worldwide.

However, unlike most Caribbean islands, Aruba is considered to be on the expensive side.

So, if you plan to holiday in Aruba, this one-week itinerary can help you.

Day 1- Relax on the beach

Start your first day by relaxing on the best beaches in Aruba, such as Eagle beach. The powdery sand of Aruba makes for excellent days full of sunbathing. If you wish to indulge in some water activities– you can snorkel, kayak or swim. Also, you can visit Flamingo Beach on Renaissance island, where you can hang out with Flamingos. Or, if you are someone who loves a more quiet atmosphere, Andicuri is the beach for you.

Aruba has a plethora of beaches, each offering something for everyone, leaving you with so many choices and beaches to explore.

Day 2- Submarine tour and Oranjestad

Take the Atlantis Submarines Expedition and see the underwater world from 130 feet below. The tour gives you a complete insight into the spectacular marine life, and you can see many different species, such as barracudas, turtles, and more. You can also see the famous Antilla shipwreck, considered the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean. The 90-minute adventure is a must when in Oranjestad.

After returning to the surface, spend the afternoon exploring the vibrant city of Oranjestad.

Day 3- Visit the Archaeological Museum

The history of Aruba is complex due to the invasions of several colonial powers throughout the centuries. This museum was once a family home that was transferred into a museum. The museum displays a variety of shells, ceramic artifacts, and stones that date back to 2500 BCE. If you are someone who loves history and wants to know the history of Aruba, you can stay back and watch a documentary film on ancient indigenous life without having to pay extra.

Day 4 & Day 5- Jeep tour

You can book an off-road safari that can take you to different places to visit in Aruba. But, keep in mind to keep a few days for this tour if you wish to cover everything around. Some of the main sites include-

– Natural Pool and Arikok National park

Enjoy the natural pool that was created by a volcanic formation and is one of the popular spots for swimming and snorkeling.

– Natural Bridge

It is a famous tourist attraction that offers some beautiful scenic views.

– California Lighthouse

You can visit this lighthouse and make your way straight up through the narrow staircases and enjoy the beautiful sunset from the top.

– Alto Vista Chapel

It is a Roman Catholic Church that has a pretty, sunshine-yellow facade.

– Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins

It is said that gold was first discovered in Aruba. The remnants of the gold rush remain at this former gold mill.

– Casibari Rocks

It is a great sunset viewpoint offering panoramic views.

Day 6- San Nicolas and Donkey Sanctuary

San Nicolas, also known as ‘Sunrise City,’ is full of graffiti and art scenes. It is Aruba’s second-largest city that is blanketed with artistic pieces worth-watching. The city’s streets have many galleries and boutiques selling prints and handcrafted jewelry. So, if you wish to take back something special for your friends and family, this is the place for you.

Next up is Donkey Sanctuary at Bringamosa, where you can witness 130 furry four-legged animals who have been living on the island for over 500 years. These donkeys love to meander out on dusty roads, so do not get shocked if you see a nose sticking to your car window in hopes of getting a treat. It is a great place to visit if you are traveling with kids.

Day 7- Go kayaking or Golfing
